Employee Owned Holdings, Inc. Announces New CFO

Houston, Texas, February 7, 2024 – Employee Owned Holdings, Inc. (EOH), the parent company of Hydraquip, Inc., GCC, and Supreme Integrated Technology, Inc., today announced the hiring of Paul Oliphant as its new chief financial officer. Paul succeeds Matt Weisser, the previous CFO, who had been promoted to be the President of EOH in September 2023.

Paul joins EOH with close to 30 years of experience in the areas of finance, accounting, and financial management, going back to his origin as an auditor for Ernst & Young, LLP in 1995. Paul had most recently worked as the CFO and SVP for Velentium, LLC, a company engaged in the design, development and manufacturing of medical devices. As CFO, Paul will oversee corporate finance, accounting, and the risk management requirements for the company, and report directly to the company’s President.

EOH Announces Matt Weisser as New President

Houston, Texas – September 15, 2023 Employee Owned Holdings, Inc. (EOH), the parent company of Hydraquip, Inc., Supreme Integrated Technology, Inc., and GCC, announced today that Matthew Weisser has been appointed as the new President of the company. Richard Neels, previously acting as president of EOH, will continue to serve the company in his roles as its Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. In addition to his new role as president, Matt was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for EOH. Prior to becoming president, Matt had been serving as the Chief Financial Officer for EOH since 2015.

Matt has nearly 30 years of experience in leadership roles, first becoming a CFO for Avanti Companies in 1998 before serving in other CFO roles. Prior to coming to EOH, Mr. Weisser worked as the CFO for the T-Rex Companies, a group of companies formed to provide construction, engineering and fabrication services, and prior to that served as CFO for the engineering and project management firm Pegasus International Inc. While working as CFO for EOHI, Matt oversaw the company’s corporate finance, accounting, and risk management groups with additional responsibilities overseeing aspects of HR, corporate operations and IT.

EOH Announces Advancement of Bobby Schaible to Vice President of Operations

HOUSTON, TX – June 28, 2023, Employee Owned Holdings, Inc. (EOH) today announced the advancement of Bobby Schaible to be named the company’s new Vice President of Operations. Bobby was previously serving as Vice President of Operations for one of the EOH subsidiaries, Hydraquip, Inc. In his new role, Bobby will report directly to the President of EOH, Richard Neels.

Bobby began working for the company over 15 years ago, beginning in Inside Sales. Bobby later transitioned to working in a purchasing role before later being named as Hydraquip, Inc.’s Purchasing Manager in 2014. Shortly afterwards, Bobby was promoted to be the Operations Manager of Hydraquip’s headquarters in Houston, Texas and in 2022 was promoted to VP of Operations for Hydraquip, Inc., with responsibility for operations at all Hydraquip locations.

Before joining the company, Bobby graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor’s degree in industrial distribution. Bobby later earned his MBA from Syracuse University with a focus on supply chain analytics and business operations in 2020. His focus for improving efficiencies and streamlining processes can be seen in the assistance he provided in building and launching Hydraquip’s eCommerce platform and in providing structure for inventory, operations & HSE at all Hydraquip locations – overall Bobby has made a profound, positive impact at the company.

Hydraquip, Inc. Welcomes New President, Scott Nelson

Houston, Texas – On January 1, 2021, Scott Nelson began responsibility as president of Hydraquip, Inc. With over 25 years of service within the company, Scott has played a key role in Hydraquip’s growth and will be instrumental in leading the company in its next chapter.

Scott started at Hydraquip in 1995 in an inside sales role before being promoted to outside sales in 1998. After gaining trust with his customers and fellow employee owners, Scott was promoted to Regional Sales Manager in 2007. In his management role, Scott maintained several key accounts and earned the prestigious “Salesperson of the Year” award three times: in 2007, 2008 and 2011.  Scott was instrumental in growing Hydraquip’s largest product line, Danfoss Power Solutions, through various markets in upstream oil & gas, including well stimulation, seismic, and drilling.

Scott continued to gain influence at the company and within the industry, as he was later promoted to Vice President with responsibility for overseeing the leadership of Texas and Louisiana. Scott currently serves as an officer and a member of the Board of Directors for Hydraquip, and he continues to maintain his fluid power specialist certification with the International Fluid Power Society (IFPS).

(ECI) –have announced efforts they have made to permit company branches to remain open as confirmed cases of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) grow worldwide.  Safety is the company’s number one initiative.

In addition to its standard routine cleaning and sanitation, EOHI has added extra precautionary measures to permit for safe interactions at will call locations and to protect from any spread of infection. EOHI has instituted a mandatory policy requiring team members to stay home if they are feeling ill or have symptoms of a respiratory infection and are further restricting customers and vendors from access to its facilities.

Employee Owned Holdings, Inc. Announces Senior Director of Marketing and Talent Development

Houston, TX – June 14, 2019 – Employee Owned Holdings, Inc. (EOHI) today announced the advancement of Jennifer Werth with her new title as the company’s Senior Director of Marketing and Talent Development. Jennifer had previously been serving as the company’s Marketing Director, overseeing the marketing department companywide and developing strategic initiatives to enhance relationships with the customers and manufacturers of EOHI’s subsidiaries: Hydraquip, Inc., Supreme Integrated Technology, Inc., Elite Controls, Inc. and GCC (Gulf Controls Company, Inc.). With this advancement, Jennifer will have further responsibilities in assisting with the company’s recruiting, training, and other HR efforts.


Jennifer joined EOHI in 2013 as its Director of Marketing until in 2017, when she took a year off to be closer to her family in Alaska, working and living in Seattle, Washington. She returned to EOHI in 2018 having gained further development in her marketing expertise from the experience. Jennifer’s work has since been predictably superb, with Jennifer being named Employee of the Month for the entire company for April 2019.

GCC Welcomes Joseph Kane as its Managing Director for Pacific Northwest Region

Portland, OR – June 3, 2019: GCC (Gulf Controls Company, Inc.) announces the hiring of Joseph Kane as Managing Director for the Pacific Northwest region (GCC NW) to lead and oversee the GCC offices in Kent (Seattle), Washington, Spokane, Washington and Portland, Oregon.

Joseph joins the company with nearly 30 years of experience in the fluid power industry. Since graduating from West Point in 1990 and serving overseas, Joseph served in progressive sales and operations roles with well-known industrial manufacturers like Alcoa, Bosch Rexroth, Atos, Swagelok and Hydraulex Global. Joseph brings his leadership and communication skills from both large and small organizations to GCC NW where he will implement long term business strategies to achieve the company’s objectives.

Elite Controls, Inc. Receives UL 508A Panel Certification

Houston, Texas, December 5, 2018 – Elite Controls, Inc. (ECI) is proud to announce accreditation as a UL 508A Certified panel shop.  The ECI team completed the necessary training and process inspection for UL 508A certification on November 23, 2018.

The UL 508A certification is the standard for industrial control panels, allowing ECI to bid on a wider variety of projects. UL 508A certification enhances customer confidence, confirming that ECI adheres to proper component usage, enclosure environmental ratings, wiring & motor protection, safety markings & conformance to the National Electric Code (NEC) and Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).

The aspect of UL certification requires processes to optimize all facets of operation, allowing ECI to deliver high quality panels more quickly to customers.  ECI also has technical training and resources available through the UL advisory resources.

Gulf Controls Company to Become GCC with Acquisition of Valin Corporation’s Fluid Power Division

Tampa, FL – On November 30th, 2018, Gulf Controls Company, Inc. acquired the assets of the Fluid Power division of the California-headquartered Valin Corporation. Valin Fluid Power is a value-added distributor of hydraulic, pneumatic and electric products, with locations in Kent, Washington; Portland, Oregon; and Spokane, Washington.

Valin Fluid Power will continue operating with the same employees and location, as a northwest division of Gulf Controls Company, although as a result, the entire company will be rebranded as “GCC”. The name “GCC” was chosen because of its ability to maintain identity for Gulf Controls customers in the Gulf Coast Region, yet allow expansion without geographic affiliation, as to provide a united front with key vendors and customers.
